A perfect kitchen is all in the preparation and getting that right will make all the difference. Before you can start putting up wall units and tiling walls they need to be dead straight and as smooth as you can get them
Once your electrician has done his or her thing and left you with chasing channels all over the place, it is time to start filling those holes left behind. You may even decide that a full plastering job is required or in the case of really uneven walls new plasterboard may be your only option.
Fill holes and cracks with pollyfiller, allow to dry and sand down until perfectly smooth. You will most likely need to repeat this process to get the perfect finish.

If the holes in your walls are too large to fill then new plasterboard is your only option. Remove the old plasterboard and take the wall back to the bare bones. Cut the plasterboard to size with a sharp knife, snapping it to get a clean edge. Drywall screws will fix it the wall more securely. Use tape and filler to fill the joins. You should now have smooth walls ready for your units to start being put in.
